These spiral shank nails are STORMGUARD® double hot-dip galvanized after threading and hardening - and drive much better than regular commons with fewer wood splits. The superior hot-dip galvanized zinc coating, recommended for pressure-treated lumber, is especially popular in post-frame construction. Spiral shank is preferred by many builders.
